Johnson a good sport in Cardiff run fest

For only the second time in his career Mitchell Johnson conceded 100 runs in an innings without taking a wicket during the highscoring opening Ashes Test in Cardiff.
The local English supporters stood and applauded as Johnson took his place at fine leg and responded by doffing his cap to the multitudes.
On a wicket described as ‘like plasticine’ by Geoff Boycott, Johnson bowled fast without any luck as England started with 430.
It is too early to question Johnson’s right to an automatic place in the team. Lord’s will be a far quicker surface to this one, but he was well down on his normal menacing pace.
‘I think he bowled better than that (none for 100)’, said Glenn McGrath.
‘On quicker wickets I think you’ll see him bowl very very well.’
