Description
GREAT BATSMEN: Their methods at a glance, by George William Beldam and Charles Burgess Fry. Macmillan 1907 (re-issue), 716 pages, 600 action photographs. Green cloth, with a batsmen playing a drive in gilt on the cover. Gilt uppers. Padwick 687. Beldam was the first real action photographer of cricket. Previous photographs were posed and give no real idea of the way cricketers really played. This book shows the famous players of the golden age actually playing their shots. A truly wonderful book. In good condition with some faults. Rating 6 out of 10. There is also a companion volume in Great Bowlers and Fielders, which is also available at $500
